Yes, Across Ixalan is back and with 3 charges in each node, no just 2 as were before.

    Done it without freezing.

New ixalan event actually refreshes the nodes.  Today I score 170.  Lol.

That has to be a mistake. But the matches are fun, except the enrage node. That is a dud.
Has anyone been able to win in less than 10 turns in the first node?

Winning in 6 turns with Nahiri isn't uncommon, though I do have Lightning Runner. Without it, winning in 10 rounds is still doable but it just takes a few more than 6.

Elspeth can do it, I would have my first try in the white run if I'd been paying more attention. I forgot I had Djeru's Renunciation in hand all charged up. When the all colors one ran, I managed to get both objectives with a Kiora looping deck I had made the day before.

So worth trying for everyone, I'm even going to get my kids to try (they haven't played much recently but if they _do_ manage to get a dino...)

I've done it with Elspeth, Nahiri, Dovin, level 43 and maxed Aj1, Saheeli and Koth.

Am I the only one who thinks the first node is actually the hardest? I can charge right through the rest, but I'm losing frequently on the first.

That's my experience too. I really struggle with the first one but the others are relatively easy.

I agree.  First node is vicious

I had great luck in the first node with a Bolas Riddleform deck.  Actually didn't have to play any of the other nodes today. Took exactly 10 turns twice, so I was definitely lucky.

First node was rough for me too.  But I actually like the idea of playing the 4th node just for the heck-of-it rather than out of necessity (because of too many losses goofing around in the others).

One thing I like is I think the value is more balanced across tiers — it isn’t just something for platinum players.

Lower tiers can pay 20 crystals and get a booster with one win — that’s a phenomenal value

Agreed, and the 30 crystals at the end (which I expected would go away with the cost decrease) are, for me, an unexpected present with a big fat red bow on it.

It's suspiciously phenomenal value. It looks to me like they forgot to rescale the ribbon awards from Trial of the Planes when they added extra objectives to the new daily event.

They reported it that way in the release notes so I don't think it's a mistake. I'd like to think better of D3 and Oktagon and hope that this is actually a response to our pleas to make the new player experience more level -- our alliance deals with a ton of new-to-game players who struggle to move ahead and stay competitive.

Being able to get a pack every day for 20 crystals is a HUGE advantage in Standard collection building and allows them to save more for PW and premium packs from other sets.

A delightful Frenchman encourages me to see things from the perspective of glass half full, so I am going to hold tight to this theory and celebrate successes with our new-to-game players in TP9 Discord and on these forums.
