Opponents creatures not visible

My opponent was playing Elspeth Suns Champion.
When they created soldiers from her skill they flashed up but were placed underneath the first creature.

    I just had an Angel of Sanctions on the opponents side disappear.  When I tried to Lay Claim it... It wouldn't do it.  It was destroyed instead.  I tried to lay claim on the next turn and the same thing happened.  He had no other creatures on his side.  It was still able to attack me...

    yep same. first creature was a frog 1/1, but Elspeths soldier were in slot two, but invisible and unselectable. When they came in the game targeted the frog with the animation
