ETB Disable Pick-And-Choose

First Thalia and it didn't get fixed, then Authority of the Consuls -- also not fixed. 

For more than a year we have put up with ETB Disable being pick in choose -- it works on Olivia but not on Kiran, it works on Quarry Beetle, but not Sifter Wurm --

Now we have a card that people are paying for (Kinjalii's Sunwing) and it's time to fix this -- if we are paying for a card, we should get what we pay for -- which means ETB effects should be disabled on all creatures entering the battlefield.

    Desert’s Hold just prevented ETB effects of Wakening Sun’s Avatar when I played it and it should not prevent ETB effects at all.

    Peema and Ulrich both get their ETB effects (+/+ for other creatures) against Sunwing.  

    Edit: Boomship does as well and you just get a dead disabledactyl and no disabled Boomship. :(

    While I agree with you that Sunwing should prevent ETB efects I disagree in the case of authority. Authority is worded as a triggered ability, same as ETB efects, so it all comes down to how the game handles triggers set of by the same event but belonging to different players. It apears to me that triggers controlled by the active player are consistently resolved first, wich would explain why the ETB efects still occur. Sunwing is worded as a continuous effect, and therefore should apply before any triggers can occur, as is Desert's hold for that matter.
