Looks like we'll probably have to wait till next week for an answer on this one, huh?

And a lot longer.1

Someone has posted a screenshot from support saying the 0% is a rounding error and they are in the packs but the percentage is tiny... But that doesn't mesh with them not showing up in the "possible cards" list.4

This, honestly, fits the set pattern. Every major update, they take a little more away. This is a bit of a slimy move, but the pack drop rates state 0% for masterpieces. If it was an oversight, I'll have very little faith left. I can deal with intentional tinykitty. I don't handle absent minded well. Especially when it's like pulling teeth to get a straight answer .3

But looking at the big picture, I don't feel like anything's been taken away. Taking all the apparent drop rates changes from pre-XLN until now together, high end cards now appear to be vastly easier to get.
This will vary for each player, but assuming you rack up crystals at about 3x the rate of jewels, then previously, whenever you spent 1200 crystals on 4x PP plus 400 jewels on 1x EP, you'd expect on average from the PPs around 1/20th of a MP and 1 mythic, while the EP gave 1/10th of an MP and 9/10ths of a mythic. Together, that's an expected average total of 0.15 masterpieces and 1.9 mythics.
According to the published drop rates, the same spend on RIX packs gives an expected average of 2 mythics (and apparently zero MPs) from the PPs, and 0.36 MPs plus 0.64 mythics from the EP.
Summarising all of that:- Before: 0.15 MP + 1.9 mythics.
- After: 0.36 MP + 2.64 mythics.

Rounding to 0.00% would need a chance for one or more MP to drop of less than 0.005%. And a 0.005% chance per PP equates to a chance of 0.0002% per card. To put that into perspective, previous sets had MPs dropping from normal packs at a rate of around 1 in every 2,000 cards (24,000 crystals worth). 0.0002% would be 1 in every 500,000 cards (6 million crystals worth). 1 in 500k would be indistinguishable from 0 in 500k to pretty much everybody.

The RIX update vanished the masterpieces that were listed in the free boosters view cards button (three of the swords were listed before). Does anyone have a three-pack to check if they still say they have a chance of giving out a masterpiece?

I still have the 3 mp swords listed as available via the
3 card basic booster pack. mp chance is 0.07%.
