Hero points vanishing?

I already submitted a ticket for this but wanted to reach out and see if this was a normal thing. Earlier today I had well over 1k hero points (I want to say around 1300 but don't remember exact amount). I did an 8 hour and 3 hour shield today, during my last hope (I had reached my target goal so was going to grab a 24 hour shield) I had a grand total of 75 hero points. Am I just amazingly bad at math or...
