OSCORP: HEROIC Sub Completion Tracking

So, the length of the subs in the new Oscorp: Heroic are determined by the global points accumulated in those subs, not elapsed time. This thread is an attempt to track the progress of each sub, so that we can have some estimate of how the timing is likely to work out. Obviously, the rate of points accumulated will not be constant across all hours of the day/night, due to time zones, player distribution around the world, work/family schedules, etc., but gathering some data is better than no data.

Please post the name of the current sub, the number of global points accumulated in that sub, and the percentage completion (I believe the percentage is listed in the "Event Rules" tab for each sub).

Current sub is City, 124M/400M, which works out to 31% complete at 1:34 AM east coast US.

Edit: City, 151M/400M, 37% at 6:56 AM east coast US.

so what you are saying is that early players were able to complete their sub faster than everyone else and in turn start a new sub which is why early players have twice as many points? If this is so, then when I unlock my sub bracket and reopen the main bracket, if rubberbanding at least plays a role, I should be able to catch back up in the main bracket?

No, it's a global total. The higher points for early players will have sped up the completion a bit, but the issues with it are largely separate from the sub total.

Oh man, I was hoping this thread would take off and we'd get to see some interesting data. I don't expect it to follow much of a nice looking curve, since rubberbanding and peak play times will shift things around a lot, but I'd still be curious as to what it looks like.

    Here's a data point:
    City, 50% (203/400), 2:20PM Eastern.

    A couple more data points:

City, approx. 19 hours ago: 13%
City, approx. 13 hours ago: 30%

So the event started at 3PM yesterday and we are at 50% about 24 hours later.

What should be interesting is timing the ending as there should be an acceleration as we get near the end.

But the start was quick before the Node value Nerf. The first 100M took 9 hours the second 100M closer to 15 hours.

Just watching it casually over last few hours. There was a bit of a jump after top gun finished (people trying out their new patches maybe?), but I think its slowed right down now the US is mostly going to sleep.

My refreshes are up, not hitting them up though as I'm concerned in 6-8 hours we will see the rate increase significantly. Given my own timezone and commitments I won't be able to squeeze in two clears even if it takes 13+ hours to complete from here.

Edit: yeah, comparing to Vairelome's previous post, we're looking at 1.67% per hour at present. Assuming points continue at a consistent rate (HIGHLY unlikely, the event will finish in around 18 hours.

What's more likely is Europe will slog on slowly for a few hours at a diminished rate, then the US will start to wake up. Players less aware of the metagame will play their morning refreshes, and then once the total hits 80-90% the rate will increase as people who've been holding off try to get their clears done. I'd estimate that it would still be safe to hold off until 95% to do your clears if you have a maxed patch. What % have other people been considering?

I have a feeling it'll speed up even more substantially in the next hour or two and snowball on out.
Everyone's probably trying to time it so they can finish right when the event does.

At current rate I think we have about 9 hours left to go at an averaging 7.5 Million an hour. But the 12 hour to go mark has been passed as that equates to only 5.4 Million and hour and that nearly one million below yesterdays average of 6.3Million

It will not be going at the current rate. The point progression will speed up exponentially as more and more people accumulate points due to it being close to the end. I reckon we have 5 if not only 4 hours left.
  • It's 84% now (337/400) 11:10 am US eastern
That's a 5 percent gain in two hours from Vairelome's last post. in fact it jumped from 336 to 337.5 while I was typing.

9 hours Sumilea? Seems a bit much. With only 16 percent left, I suspect we'll finish in ~3 hours if the rate keeps going, I suspect it'll be less. The only ones timing it are bound to be people who are on this or the other forums, the big majority are just playing, maybe even playing extra because they want to open up additional missions (more loot) sooner.... Place a progress bar in front of people, and they race to fill it.

(That's fine by me really, it's a perfect ending time for me - maybe 6-7 pm on Saturday - perfect playing time! Unfortunately I just got ready to bake cookies. I should get onto that so I still have time to clear some nodes...)

Well live and Learn. So I will miss half the nodes, next time I try and get the final refresh to happen around the 85% mark. Guess it will be my own fault now if I do not make top 30 instead of D3 changing the point system.
