There are far too few choices here.

For instance, you left off "Wholly vindicated in calling out Cycling as completely broken in its current form, and therefore in need of a nerf."

I'd've voted for that one if you'd put it on the list.

Also feeling good about a lot of other things, at least on a superficial level. They've paid lip service to many points that I and others have continued to bring up. Now I just hope they will actually follow through with tangible actions.

This one line has me hopeful that we might see some of that follow-through in the not-too-distant future, but I'll have to reserve full judgment until the update drops: "You should see some changes when Rivals of Ixalan comes along."

I'm in a position now that I see the info we've been given as a good sign of things to come long-term, but am underwhelmed by what we see in the immediate future. I think once they have the opportunity to rebalance the 1,400 cards in the game and 30 planeswalkers to align with the new cards, these won't seem as bad as they do right now.

It's just unfortunate that these will be released into an ecosystem where they're unlikely to thrive until the following set comes out. However, I still think it will be valuable to collect as much as possible from this one specifically because we know that massive changes are incoming.

Also, I agree with the above poster that it's good that certain toxic cards and mechanics are being called out, and that its on their radar to fix these issues.

The poll is flawed as it only presents extreme viewpoints.

No option for "I really liked it a lot, and hope we get this for every set, but it was overhyped, which lead to some people feeling disappointed as they expected more."

If you love it but are underwhelmed by the hype, you pick whichever you feel more strongly towards. I generally don't like either politician in an election 100% but I still vote for the one I prefer the most. Or I abstain from voting.

How about 'cautiously optimistic for the future, whenever that turns up'.

*sighs and activates his first ability* Was this really necessary to be made into a poll? The question is deceptively complicated, the options are rather limited and they don't take into account certain factors, such as, are we talking about hype from the total wait, hype from the developers, or hype from ourselves. Or the one about card list, I am sure that is coming later, so that question creates a false one or the other scenario. I think this might have been better suited as a plain discussion thread.

I'm excited overall, but worried about the cards themselves being too expensive.  The mechanics are interesting though, so if treasure tokens give us tons o' mana (or we just play with the old broken mana ramp spells) then it's going to be fun.

Wow, am I ever glad this was made as a poll instead of a thread.

As much as I enjoy people stating and restating arguments that have absolutely no direct connection to the opposing perspective, as much as the next guy.

I think it was very refreshing to just be able to pick my stance and not have to worry it might be reworded 17 different ways, to mean 64 different things.

    Hooraa

    :)

Currently in a wait-and-see state of mind. There is a lot of information to digest, a lot of announced payoff for the long-term and a lot of unknown variables (i.e. rest of the cards, specific on the mechanics, PWs, events, and playing with the cards will surely uncover things we wouldn't have thought of only with theorycrafting).
