Are we going to see all the Ixalan cards before the release? Seems like we're running out of time for that.

Didnt the blog post yesterday end by saying "lets look at some gårds tomorrow!" or something to that effect, heavily implying the blog will be the entire list?

Technically the release is anytime next week and if history repeats itself it'll be on Thursday. So we still have plenty of time. But yeah the blog post yesterday implied that we would see something today.

It did. The site has a placeholder for today’s blog that says “BALANCING CARDS AND MORE!” which sounds a tad ominous.

Whoa, I beat the tinykitty filter? I wasn't even trying to do that. I bet I just earned a warning.

If by interesting you actually mean completely pointless at this time, then yes, interesting.

I will say I am fairly impressed by Oktagon grasp of the meta and how op cards and strategies ruin the game of magic in the long run.

It is very similar to the view wizards uses for paper.

However  having said that. It seems completely pointless to say all those things with the caveat of "we are doing nothing about it at this time"

Just my opinion, but that just opened the door to months of bickering on the forums about it.

    Dear mods

Don't give this fine gentleman a warning.
It's not his fault your filter broke, and really, you can't tell me you don't realize that is the exact same response that every single player will have in their heart when they read that empty shell vlog post

The most interesting part of all is that they have a grasp of the meta and yet are pushing out a set that seems vastly inferior to everything we already have. We'll just have to wait and see once the full card set is revealed... tomorrow right? You'll show it to us tomorrow? Please?

And this is a multicultural board and in most non-US countries he did not swear in the slightest, just used a completely normal everyday word.

Hibernum used to design cards by porting them over from paper MTG without playtesting them. It looks to me a bit like Oktagon have taken Hibernum's designs as their baseline without playtesting theirs either.

"Hmm, Bone to Ash, and Censor, eh? I'd better design Lookout's Dispersal!"

I think their heads are in the right place, but I really, really feel they could have gotten up to speed a little quicker... no doubt D3 were pushing them with the same fervent insistence which helped Hibernum become the developer they are today.

Just commenting for the bump.  @Brigby any idea when we'll get the cardlist?  Usually its the week before the release, but that kind of ends today, so...

Apologies, but I'm afraid I'm unaware of when the full card list will be available for previewing. I speculate that, due to the unique circumstances surrounding the delay of Ixalan, the card list will also be delayed.

Well, at least that's something. Thank you for the update, Brigby. Have a great weekend.

I think it's more professional to spoil cards over time like Wizards of the Coast rather than show them all at once anyway.

But they do spoil all of them before the release right?

    Yes.
