From this months Q&A:
Also, a quick note on older sets and events: If you enjoy these new events and would like to see our take on older sets, make yourselves heard in the forums and we’ll be listening.

So, yes please, expanding on older events would rock! And maybe some extra cards to hype the older sets?

Would love to have older sets stay relevant and past events (remix or not) to reappear. Also instead of always enraged, throw in supercharged or restrictions (e.g. Peasant format). Variety is fun.

I would just like to use all of my legacy cards -- and I want OLD NOP back.

    An idea:

I still miss a bunch of cards  from paper to pq in sets. Why not have the above legacy events have a newly made uncommon or even rare card as reward? For instance  there are still many madness cards not turned to pq format.

It would get a huge hype to those events (like they had two years ago)

I'd be happy with bringing back the old practice of event exclusive cards. Usually a couple months into a set I have all of the cards that could be won as rewards . I still play in them, but they start to feel almost like a chore . I get sloppy. I get lazy . It would be awesome to have something to play for besides the same random event set rare. I really enjoyed the rotating event exclusives.

Same for me I'd go ape-"stuff" for a new card to play for

I'll just be insane and suggest: EDH!

30 cards (since no lands), 1 copy of each card

No limits on deck building, except colours

Suddenly certain cards become a lot more interesting, like omni is not as bad when its only 1 copy, and HUF also works more like intended.

"Newly made?" ... I don't believe you meant Ixalan, right?

Because of what you just said, I really do think that Legacy based events should give Mythics and or Rares as prizes. That won't affect the meta of the game since focus is primarily on standard (which should never ever have Mythics as a prize). Anyways, I think it would be a great way for newer and lower ranked players to gradually gain new and fun cards in Legacy.

I'm back and forth on this idea.... I always liked the idea that an event would be a guarantee that you're getting something new rather than the 15 Channeler Initiates I got from Amonkhet even rewards. BUT on the other hand, I also remember an incident where due to bad luck, and outside circumstances, I missed getting Oath of Liliana as an event reward rare, which was much more punishing than I can think any other rare was to loose. And add to that it couldn't be looted for quite a while afterwards, and that can be pretty hard on players.

I can definitely see the benefits for both the old system and the new one.

I want to see a limited format. Buy a fat pack and those are the cards you build your deck from. And instead of the match charges every 8 hours or whatever, you eliminate everyone below a certain point threshold at that time. The time frame for "starts in..." would be when you register your deck for the event and can't join after it begins

You are quite rightr i dont mean ixalan cards, i mean cards that dont exist yet in pq from legacy sets. For instance, have a new soi rare made and offer  that as a prize for a soi event.

For old events, I would be satisfied if their rewards were consistent.

You have Nodes of Power, which rewards rares from OGW, it means, from a 18 cards pool, and lt skips an entire pool of 42 cards from BFZ. Result: I'm currently at 13/42 from BFZ, while I still get dupes from OGW, which I'm at 15/18. This due to booster craft, as before it my BFZ collection was at 3/42.

Also would like all events having a rare as a prize for your progression. Some reward boosters. Having orbs as rewards would work, and in fact is something I would love. Maybe reduce runes, and so you get same amounts of runes and orbs. I would also approve if you could get mythics by scoring really really well.

You keep your witchcraft out of this.  This is a wholesome family friendly game!

JK...I think that's actually a pretty sweet idea.  Maybe each planeswalker can get an extra deck slot for EDH only.

Question though is how're you gonna cast the commander (maybe be able to play him/her through loyalty points?)
