Anyone else having issues with latest update on Kindle App?

So when I try to enter I get a message saying "great news an update is available" but when I click OK to go to the app store and update there is button for update, just open.  When I click open it takes me back to the game app but get the same message so I am not able to enter the game.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have tried powering down my Kindle and restarting but that didn't work.

    Yes, have the same issue on iOS.

    I have the same problem (Amazon appstore on Android).

    Hey everyone, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. We are aware that some players sometimes have problems with updating their game from the app store. To fix this, you should be able to uninstall and reinstall the game to force your download to the latest update version. Please keep in mind that you may need to recover your saved data afterwards, so make sure you're backed up through Facebook, or contact our Customer Support team if you need your account to be recovered.
