Boss Ragnarok is pretty tough, he is one of those characters that the AI can play and suddenly he is unstoppable. You will wear him down and then he will heal himself so you have to start again.
I kind of wish I'd saved the last clear of his node until I was in 3* land, just so I could have gone back and roflstomped him. Same with that Yelena/2 Muscle node. Vengeance would have been sweet for all the times I wiped on those two.

One cool thing about Ragnarok is that he generates blue charged tiles, which give whoever matches them more AP than a standard match as well as doing more damage. I believe that ability also has a self heal, which is annoying, but I wouldn't necessarily assume he's unbeatable without trying it first.
Green charged tiles. From his blue power. His red power makes blue tiles, but they're not charged.

For 2* land, there are two main trios:

    Wolverine (5/5/3)/Daken (3/5/5)/OBW (3/5/5)

    Hawkeye (3/5/5)/Magneto (3/5/5)/Storm (5/5/3)

For the first, Wolvie and Daken produce Strike tiles, which OBW double-dips on with her Espionage. Wolvie and Daken also provide the direct offense, while OBW is awesome support with her AP theft and ability to extend enemy Countdowns. Plus all three of them can heal.

For the second, it's as you would expect: use Mag's Purple to both accelerate Storm's Blue and activate Hawkeye's Purple. Storm can also generate AP and cause cascades with her Green, while you choose between Hawkeye's Red for good AoE damage or Mag's Red for single-target damage and AP generation.

You can try rotating in the other 2* as well. For example, Daken and OBW can also be used with either Ares or Torch. Thorverine used to be the rage, although sadly both were nerfed slightly
I also like Thor instead of Hawkeye in the second one. He can often cover Storm on yellow, and can generate ludicrous amounts of green for her. I've actually managed to go Winfinite a few times just going back and forth between his yellow and her green.

Lol, my bad; I never use Ragnarok if I can help it. So I revise my statement: there is nothing cool about Ragnarok

He's a key component for Ragfinity, so he isn't totally useless.

I've only got a 3/1/2 Riri though, so I'll be sure and weigh in on that in The Future lol

Thanks again for the tips. I picked up some Wolverine covers that got me back on track. Can once again easily get past first DDQ2, although the second challenge with all L70s still wipes me out. Soon though. Also beat Ragnarok Boss, but a tough fight. I'll probably wait just a bit before grabbing all the HP there. My next expirations are a week+ out.

Joined an alliance (got booted from one, but the second one is working out). Did some PvP and was more successful than I expected. So all good progress.

The first time I came close to beating that second 2* node was one of the most frustrating moments in MPQ for me. I was one match away from winning, but I wasn't careful enough making it, and my phone thought I was making a different match, and I never did get enough AP through the rest of the fight to fire that power and eventually lost. That did make the time I finally beat it (I think a week or two later) that much sweeter, tho.

3 months in...  If I didn't want to spend money and could start all over again...

    1)  ALL HP to slots.
    2)  Do not spend CP or open any LTs.  Just hoard literally until you are ready to roster 4*.
    3)  Roster all 2* and 3* covers.  This allows you to complete at least 2 essential nodes in each PVE.  Allows you to "farm" rewards from the 2* instead of discarding them.
    4)  Use ISO on characters you actually use or farm.  Don't just level for leveling sake.

I opened like 10 LT and another ~200 worth of CP because I bought those package deals and ended up with several 4* and some room.  But I will probably have to leave 2-3 single 4* covers "die on the vine" because i'd rather keep a several covered 3* or a "farming" 2* on the roster.
