knew to put mana ramp cards first in hand order?

just thinking out loud.

put a marker on them or something. I'm not a coder

Oktagon loving the "new" content (booster crafting) thanks again for making our dreams come true. #nosarcasm

That would make Rishkars Expertise even more brutal but it does make sense, overall.

Even if the AI started to prioritize spells it would change a lot

Or maybe if they let the players set their decks on simply which card type to prioritize when the AI piloted their decks

thats an interesting idea. A terrifying, interesting idea. like Omni needs help hitting board sooner haha.

I know Ive won matches simply because the AI wants to hard cast 20+ cc creatures while gem changers sit at the bottom of their hand. sooner or later, Oktagon is going to be tinkering with the AI, and this one change could make games much more realistic and/or challenging. But, the balancing of HUF and Omni should happen first. at least once a day I have to force quit because of Omni/ HUF loops, and thats with a very bad AI

Why not a fully prioritized deck? You could arrange cards when building the deck in the order you would like the AI to prioritize.
This would probably need for cards to be fairly balanced though.
And maybe as it's own type of event, like Enraged or Supercharged.

And allow you to prioritize cycle vs cast?

Would probably break the game as people would get caught in infinite cycling loops

Personally I am a proponent of AI crafting, let the players set up the majority of the if then arguments on how and under what conditions a cards or ability is played. Issue is that that would likely make troll decks trollier (imagine an AI that could properly pilot a Dovin shutdown deck or a better use of Omniloop) but then again I have heard cries for making the game harder and making Greg play better, and with the potential variety of decks it is understandable why a non custom Greg cannot navigate everything. This might be the closest thing we get to true PvP without enforcing time limits on turns to make a round not take hours.

Call me old fashioned but I think it's the job of the programming team to do all the programming.

I sometimes think of us as beta testers without the title or pre-release content benefits. Who also give them money occasionally

I think if the AI just learned “if my hand is full and I can’t do anything, discard a card”, it would get a lot smarter. It would even accidentally learn to cycle in that.
