Oath of the Gatewatch - Cannot join event

As the title states, I cannot join the event. I get the dreaded "Something Went Wrong" error whenever I try to join. Just wondering if this is wide-spread, or maybe just affecting a few people, or if it's just something happening to me.

    I'm now also unable to join the Trial of the Planes: White event.

    I was able to join the Oath event, though I do wonder why they make them joinable so far in advance… I'm in Silver, so I don't play TotP and can't say whether I'd be able to join it or not.
