4* Elektra's Ballet of Death steals black from empty pool

I noticed this during today's Professor X crash. Elektra used ballet of death, creating a trap tile. Next turn, I see her black AP increasing by one even though I had zero black AP with Professor x. This is 100% reproducible and went on through all the 6 matches it took me to beat her, as soon as the trap tile is out, Elektra generated one black at the start of each turn once the trap tile was out.

This is inconsistent with the power description which says "steals". 
Please confirm if this is the intended design.

Then it's no wonder it took me so long. All that sidestepping (or is it shadowstepping) makes it take a long time, especially if what you say is true.
