Trials of Ambition as Coalition event?

If you read the info text on ToA it claims 'compete along with your coalition to earn extra rewards'.

However this is not the case as its clearly not keeping any coalition stats.

Am I crazy? Was this ever a Coalition event?

It was a coalition event during the Amonket days. Actually all the PVP single player events were coalition, event Nodes of Power was.

huh, so what gives now then? They noticed people were actually playing and getting rewards from coalition events (which one would assume was the intent, no?) so they decide "TOO MUCH! Take it away!"

Am I correct then, that there is basically ONE coalition event per week, over the weekend?

Kind of a joke, but I guess that's what we (our coalition) gets for taking to long to get active members...

I suspect that the lack of mid-week coalition event has something to do with the holidays. I’m looking forward to @Brigby updating his sneak peek post today.

Coalition events change with new sets. ToA was an AKH event, FiRF was Kaladesh (or AER) and EC was SOI. When the set rotates out, they keep the events as individual.

This is actually something they did in response to what we asked for -- more legacy events (ToA is the exception, it is still standard), and more events in General.

I'm not sure what is going on with the absence of mid-week event, I can guess, from past month's history that it has something to do with scheduling and the New Year, but our alliance of coalitions is having a lot of fun with challenges and the individual events, so we don't mind so much.

You're welcome to pass the time and join us in our NOP challenge this week!

Because we used to have the opposite problem of too many coalition events. Having a mix of both single player and coalition events running concurrently is actually the best. However, at the moment, we are lacking in coalition events and I would like to see that changed.
