3* token, where are you?

Conversation around this game usually ends up being about how those that have fully stacked 3* rosters will be the only ones that continue to win and get rewards.

MPQ has a bias to only give to those who already have (and those that pay). There has to be some kind of balance so those who are grinding away, wasting away countless hours, can have a chance at Top 50.

a 3* token would help tremendously. Randomly rolling a 3* cover from the insane amount of 2* packs is ridiculous at this point. And with the new characters on the loom, most of which are 3*, it's tipping this game more and more into the hands of those that already have.

If this continues it can very easily fall into the predicament Dark Summoner fell into, in that they had to give away big rewards just to even out the playing field. Damage control that didn't work out too well. Imagine paying for coins to get covers and later find out the devs gave them away because the Top 50 was looking like the same ol' suspects for the last 6 months.

  • They just removed the guaranteed 3* Diabolical tokens from Lightning Rounds so I don't think you'll be seeing any 3* tokens any time soon.

With the reward structure available now a 2* team might only win you one 3* cover per event.

Part of this games appeal is the collection of new covers. If getting them was easy this game would lose much of it's appeal in my opinion and the sense of excitement when those 3* show up in tokens where you least expect them.

I don't know what it's like to start playing this game now. I started in December so there were approximately 6-7 fewer 3* back then and I've only reached my first fully covered 3* recently.

I was at one point feeling like I it would take me forever to get a functional three star.

My solution to it was to spend a lot of ISO on standard tokens until I got enough 3* to make a few of my characters more viable. Loads of people are going to tell you this is the worst idea but it sped up my transition. I reasoned that until I had a clear "target" to invest my ISO into I might as well use it to improve my roster.

Unfortunately i don't agree with that i'm afraid. MPQ is not giving anything away to the guys and gals with 3 stars. Everyone is in the same boat. Nobody is handed anything for free. I and most of the rest of the community had to start from nothing, the same as you and others. We have to work hard to get our covers, to get points and place well. It took me 3 months to get my 1st 3* fully leveled, but once you do, getting to the next stage is a whole load quicker. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You either put in the money or the hours to get the rewards. That's really all there is too it.

Definitely not saying it should be easy of course. They should however log your game hours on the back end and give you something better than Bullseye or Moonstone after, let's say 8 hours. That's just another solution to this problem.

I never said MPQ is giving anything away, however how are you supposed to compete with someone who has been playing since Oct or Dec and has a stacked roster of lvl141 characters when you get one 3* cover every 10 days if you're lucky?!

The same way everybody had to compete. Start off with nothing and build it up from there. Nobody said it was easy. That's the game we all love/hate.

ehh....pre-nerf rags+wolv was more or less giving it to you for free. Especially since you could +6 AP for only a very marginal net loss in ISO
