"The day Ob Nixilis grew a brain"

A sneaky little feature of the new patch is that the AI is now competent with Ob Nixilis. The AI now seems to just rush to the ultimate and not constantly waste his mana on his first or his 2nd when possible.  I saw him pass up many opportunities to kill my creatures with his second before he cast his ult on me.  Many other players are seeing similar things.

Anyone notice other PW habits changing?  I noticed Sorin still spams his first even without a creature on the board.  In other words he does absolutely nothing with his loyalty.

Yes, I noticed that Lill3 has been consistently aiming for loyalty 3. Koth has been doing the same if he reaches loyalty 2 he will keep charging for loyalty 3. Otherwise he fires off the first loyalty as per norm. Can't say I noticed anything yet of the others

I've noticed opposing walkers actually matching 5 on occasion.

I've faced a brained ob Nixilis, it's bad for business!

Might be something sneaky they added in without telling us it’s good though, now that AI as chances to kill us more

I've had several match 5's skipped today. Don't pat him on the back too hard.

That ob lvl3 trigger took me by surprise. Wasnt really expecting it. I had zombies on the field but didnt use 2nd to kill it. Lvl3 triggered, lost legacy followed. In short, i lost.

Lil 3 will wait for her third often because her first 2 usually cannot trigger.  The first only gets used if there is a non-zombie out, and the second only if there is a dead zombie.
Koth hit me with his #2 this morning, so that isn't a guaranteed fix yet.

I do hope they make Greg moderately intelligent again, I miss his pre-lobotomized form

Hasn't happened to me, I went against an ob earlier today as well. Wonder what the criteria are, but I doubt the devs will give any info on that. Would be nice though.

The AI still has a way to go. In TG tonight, it got all my creatures off the board, dropped 3 big creatures, then immediately played The Great Aurora. (Also destroyed 2 of it’s supports and none of mine.)

It is good to see Greg emerging slightly from his coma!

Yeah, I am not sure exactly what they did.  But it seems like they only targeted specific PWs rather than a broad based change in code.  Encouraging to see this as it indicates we will likely see more enhancements in the future.

Yet, again I stand impressed with Oktagon.  Sorry D3... Maybe you had a complete reversal or if Hibernum was really holding you guys down.. but Oktagon will get all of the credit regardless.

Ob is saving up for 3rd ability now? That lost legacy combo still requires that he hang on to that card UNTIL the final support is out though. Was he also able to do that?

Not consistently at least.  I played an Ob yesterday that cast his Lost Legacy too early twice.  I killed him before he got his ultimate

ok, still though, this is a good thing. I hate it when greg just spams the first ability, even with 6 cards in hand

The game is much better when it has a brain. Don’t get me wrong, I still want to win enough to make full rewards but these small tweaks are a very good sign. I’m packing support removal these days - Release the Gremlins is no longer a joke card.

Oh i don't think Release The Gremlins was ever a joke card. There are plenty of times a Koth ruined my day by casting multiple gremlins on me.

It also seems to give slightly better matching advice.  It doesn’t ask me to kill my own supports so much and it appears to take cascades into account.

I agree it was always useful but a little bit expensive at 16 casting cost.  The weakness is it requires a support on the board to go off. I’ve been running it a bit more and it’s being consistently helpful. Now I’m seeing more Starfield of Nix and other mythic support combos that give this card enhanced efficiency.
