Creatures summoned with "Deploy The Gatewatch" don't count towards objectives?

I'm playing the white/black node in Emrakul's Corruption.  During the match I used "Deploy the Gatewatch" twice and summoned 3 Defiant Bloodlords and 2 Bloodbond Vampires. After I won the match I didn't earn the "Sorin's Fight" objective.  Is this intentional? Do they only count as being "summoned" if you directly cast the creature card?

    They only count when casted, not when "put onto the battlefield". You can pop Saheeli's 3rd ultimate for 4 Flagships and it still counts as "no creatures cast". Same with supports that are created by PW ultimates (eg Koth's 3rd or Ob Nixilis' 3rd); they won't count.

    Thanx, that's pretty much what I thought because I noticed that token creatures don't count either. You can summon dozens of zombies with Stir the Sands or Liliana's Mastery and not one will count.
