OGW 2 PvE impossible?

I have 54pts on OGW2 now and only have Win with less than 10 life left to beat.
-Edit- On Valakut that is

But every time I end the battle I miss out on the ribbon and it says that I have 20 more life than I actually end the fight with.

I have done it with four different PWs now (Sorin, Tezz2, Kiora, Gideon3) with and without using lifelink or other lifegain. Always having well below 10 (1,2, 4 and 4) but summary says I end with 21,22,24 and 24.

Is this event bugged or is it just me that have this problem?

The only time I know that happens is if you gain life above your maximum health. For example, you are playing Sorin with 82 max life, you gain 20 life before ever taking damage and end the fight at 1 life, the final screen will put you at 21 life. The same can happen if you are at 72 life and gain 20 life. In this case if you ended at 1 life it would bump you up to 11 life. Since you said you did it without lifelink or lifegain though, I have no idea what the issue could be. I completed it with Garruk without gaining any life and finished below 10 to get my 2 ribbons.

This isn't actually impossible, you're just experiencing a bug that has to do with lifegain. I'm not exactly sure of the specifics, but if you go look in the Bugs & Technical Issues area of the forums, you will probably find something.

I thought so too first, but cleared it twice without using lifegain whatsoever. And still it added 20 to my finish life total.

If the fight takes long enough, your walker might actually be regenerated (usually happens on a timer countdown 5 minutes). I had that happen to me 1 or 2 times, I couldn't reproduce it on purpose though (was too fast every times that I tried, silly me).

    Saaheli:
    Lay Claim                            Floodwaters
    Deem Worthy                      Deserr Cerodon
    New Perspective                Drake Haven
    Hieroglyphic Illumination Violent Impact
Shimmerscale Drake         Desert of the Mindful

    Kiora:
    Lay Claim                           Floodwaters
    Shefet Monitor                  Greater Sandwurm
    Censor                                Dissenters Deliverance
    New Perspectives             Drake Haven
    Beneath the Sands            Hieroglyphic Illumination

These two are basic cycling decks without lifegain, no creature steal was used either.

I cycled a bunch of drakes each turn to reduce Valakuts life so I could end him easily when I was down under 10 myself.

I will try again now with a fresh restart of the game.

It is doable. Far from impossible.

Here are my personal rules to avoid this bug(and I haven't encountered it since)

    1) take constant damage. Ob and Sarkan are good for pinging yourself every few turns for 1hp

    2) don't use healing

I second @Ohboy. It's an annoying objective, but I got it on my 3rd try. I'm allergic to cycling, so I had an uphill climb.

I went the easy route on this one - skip the (most likely) dupe rare I will get. Not worth the trouble...

Did it with Ob on the second try.  The first try i waited too long to cast the ultimate.

It can definitely be frustrating.  He can throw a lot of damage at you really fast.

The problem for me isn't to win with less than 10 life. The problem is to have the game register it as so but it keeps adding 20 to my lifesum when awarding ribbons.

The key solution is in the second post in this thread:

As long as the bug is around try not healing "above" your highest health.

This said: @Brigby - this bug has been around for ages. Can the devs please look at this? Thanks.

Ironically that bug will never help you in a "Finish with X or more life objective", it only screws you on "X or less" ones. Did you have any success with a fresh restart @Rhasget? It's really strange that both the Saheeli and Kiora decks had a bug like that.

That's not true at all. I've successfully used the bug to complete such an objective with ob after I accidentally lost too much hp before.

Oh I abused the bug in the old Nissa2 locked-node event.  Objectives were energize x gems and end with over y life.  I overhealed a lot.  Ran everything I could with lifegain.  Even if I got sniped down last turn my health was reported at the end as full.  Didn't show awarding the ribbons in that case, but the objective meter would be filled and they were always awarded to my tally.

Overhealing always works consistently for me for buoying life over an objective required threshold.  Even now.

Yes, I got after I restarted and cleared the cache.
It must've stuck with the lifegain from my first try to the others.
First try I won with Sorin and finished with a lifelinked creature. Don't remember what power it had though but can't find much else to explain it since my other tries were without using lifegain.

FWIW, if you encounter some odd app behavior, the best bet is to force close and re-open the app.  Can clear up some lingering weirdness from time to time.

Wow, I never even realized the ribbons were added to your total. I just tested in Fateful Showdown against what used to be 2.2 to try and prove that it doesn't work. I healed for 20 before taking any damage and finished at 32 life, final screen showed me at 52/50 for the more than 50 life objective but didn't give any ribbons. When I went back to the main event screen it did in fact give me 6 ribbons.
