Two years of Origins??

Right now, the timer on the Origins block in the vault has a lifespan of 704 days and change. I feel like this is probably some sort of error or oversight. Can we get some clarification on this @Brigby ?

I think it's just a number. There  will  be offers. Or maybe a new basic st some time.

I assume it's the timer on the discount, no?

(The discounted packs are "separate" from the traditional sets for whatever reason.  You'll see that if you get a single booster pack as a reward or such for an existing discounted set).

No, that discount is no longer relevant. I was mostly being flippant in my original post, with a small degree of curiosity injected into it.

I really think it's just an oversight. I can't see a reason why they would want to project a timer that far out.

I missed the turnover.  Likely a placeholder of some kind, yeah.

They've decided to give the players a new (unannounced) discount on Origins SP and PP, and they're using the existing discount mechanism to make it semi-permanent (by setting it in force for a really long time).  I expect they can cancel it whenever they like to reduce (or remove) the discount rate, if they decide to.

Hold up...before they gave us the most recent discount (where Premiums were going 196 crystals), the Premiums were already being sold at 280 crystals. That has been the cost for the last month or three. So they didn't do anything but go back to that previous 280-crystal offer...

The 280 crystal price still a discount as compared to the regular 300 crystals for a premium pack.

I am guessing that is why there is a timer counter for Origins.

Yes but as Matthew said, it previously cost 280 crystals and had no timer so it seems a little silly. I also find it interesting that HOU is not available in the vault.

silly only if you think 280 is a permanent price.

Why in 2 short years, you'll all regret not buying it when it was 20 crystals cheaper!

I remember when we didn't even have crystals, just a single solitary yellow pixel that painted on the bathroom mirror by a 3 year old. If we wanted to use the phone we had to shout into the other room which we were lucky to even have...

Kids today! So new agey with their crystals and their monster summoning, why when I were a lad D & D got banned from our high school for exactly that!

i am guessing patch v2.2.5 changed the way how these banners and offers are displayed or work.

could be a unified structure, where discounts are all displayed similarly with a timer.
