Alliance vs alliance play

With the rise of alliances, I think it would be pretty cool if we could challenge other alliances. It wouldn't have to be for prizes (although I'm all for that) , just a one or two day free for all where you only face the members of another alliance. This could even be turned into a bracketed tourney although I have the feeling that it would be more difficult to implement that within the confines of the current game.

    I've thought about this.

Alliance v alliance, each alliance member has to put up a certain amount of ISO to enter, which pool gets portioned out to the winning alliance members. The format is round-robin, so each alliance member plays once vs each member of the opposing alliance. Given that this is as many as 20 matches, I think that you should get 48 hours to complete your matches.

Because of the round-robin format, there will be an equal number of (total) matches for each alliance, regardless of the size of each.

Scoring is by total damage done. This means that in theory a 1* team can win against a 3* if you can do more damage than you have hit points. Obviously the 3*s will still have a big advantage, but it's not entirely one-sided. And this means that even in matches where you're outclassed, you still have incentive to try hard. It also means that your tactics will have to change - this is all about efficiency and speed.

When the tournament is set up, each alliance leader can choose boosts allowed or boost not allowed. Default will be boosts not allowed, and so boosts will only be allowed if *both* leaders agree to the use of boosts.
  • I kinda like ZenBrillig Idea just got a little carried away at the end. But, the first part could benifit all the players with ISO. Just make a betting pool. Like, put up 3000 ISO if you could win a round with my top card vs yours.
