Missing 4* Thanos

I swear I had 2 Thanos characters, one a 3 star, which is a champion and one that was a higher rank, I think 4 stars. I received a card for him last week and added it successfully to his powers, but when I went to increase his level, he was missing from my roster. Anyone else having that problem?

There is no 4* Thanos.  Only 5*.  Check for a 5* Thanos on your roster.

Nope. He's not there. I know for a fact I got a card for Thanos that wasn't for my champion, and it was added to the account. And when I went to power him up is when I noticed he wasn't there. Confusing. :-/
