Possible Trap Tile Bug [Intended]

I'm not sure if this is a possible bug or if there was a change in the way trap tiles work. I've noticed when using 3* Daredevil's Ambush (Red), Nick Fury's Demolition (Blue) and X-Force Wolverine's Heal (Yellow) that the trap doesn't set off on a match 4 line clear if the in question isn't in the original match. I know that it used to. Just looking to find out if this was a purposeful change or an issue. Thanks!!

It ends up being kind of a nerf to most trap or trap-like skills that have an effect when matched, but not when destroyed, but it also makes the overall match/destroy rules a lot simpler to understand.0
