Shield level in PvP - what is the difference?

After doing level 7 or 8, i chose level 5 in PvP... you know, there are 10CP and other stuff...
Soo, i got my **** kicked in second fight (yeah, my champed OML died with rest of the team... awesome), promoted 5*s and/or promoted + powered up 4*s everywhere... what the hell is the difference between clearance levels... well, beside of the rewards?

    What exactly is LB?

    LB = leaderboard, aka bracket.

    Set that aside, this is the most counter-intuitive thing in MPQ. You face the exact same group of people either you join SCL1 or SCL8.

    Just as counter-intuitive as PVE was, thanks to roster-based scaling.

    So, there's hope yet.

    Reaching 40 wins is impossible for me otherwise... 
    PvE wants less and give less... why should i expect something else from PvP, that obviously gives less, but demands the same power...
