Can we get some tinykitten autocorrect in game chat?

There are so many typos in game chat and its hard to navigate in it to make corrections without just deleting everything. I think some changes to this would really increase the user experience.

Thanks,

  • Can I piggyback on this? The entire chat experience could be improved. For starters, how about allowing me to turn my phone sideways and type in landscape mode where the keys are bigger? Also, my keyboard software(Swiftkey) is neutered in the MPQ chat. Can't use the swipe function for typing faster, autocorrect, suggestions, etc.

The ability for commanders to chat "behind closed doors" would be useful to. Sometimes we need to confer eith one another but don't want to talk aboht who should get the axe out in the open like that.

I do appreciate that we can chat; could just stand to be improved
  • I hear you guys. The chatting experience could be greatly improved. But another mobile RPG-type game I play also has an even more awkward chat interface.

I think you have to take the chat system as is. It's functional to a certain degree for basic communication. People that want something better will have to rely on a proper IM app. To add more chat features that people expect would take a lot more development and testing resources. Since they're a small team, I don't think it's high on their priority.

I seem to recall that their chat module is third-party, so it'd be even harder to work on. Of course, that could also mean that there are features in it that they just haven't enabled yet.

Is that right? In that case maybe they're releasing features in bits and seeing how they perform.
