Do you guys have any token opening rituals? Superstitions?
I was just thinking the other day about how I open my tokens and how I try and "trick" the game into giving me good pulls and was wondering if anyone else has any. What I mean is whenever I would open a token I would try going to the prologue mission screens and then opening because if I'm in the prologue, I am a new player and thus need a shiny new 3 star! I would also try and pull from the screen after being defeated because maybe the game would see I need more help and give me that damn yellow lazy thor! I don't think any of it ever actually worked but, hey, let's share some tips!

I like to strip naked, rub myself in lotion and place the game in the middle of the floor while chanting "anyone but Bagman" over and over again, while running around in circles with a pointy stick. Sometimes the neighbours see me.0

I open them pretty much immediately once I get them, figuring there's a chance it could be something that would be useful in the next match I'm about to play.
I don't have the patience to hoard up a bunch of standard tokens and open them all at once.0 -
everytime i get a good pull i sacrifice a chicken to the mpq gods(please don't take this seriously)0

If I have multiple tokens I try clicking on different parts of the screen to unlock them if I have a run of bad luck. And by bad luck I mean regular luck. Coooooome on bottom left!0

I open them right away. Oh, except for that one at 50 points in the lightning round. I get my tank team in first.0

One of our alliance members has his wife to open his tokens. She's ridiculously lucky btw - even if some witness bias is in effect.
As for me, nada, far too lazy to maintain superstitions/rituals.0 -
If it's a heroic token I just get ready to sell the inevitable purple Modern Hawkeye or red Marvel Now Magneto cover I'll get.0

I definitely have developed a habit/ritual regarding the tokens. I always open standard tokens first, and only a maximum of ten at a time. If I draw a two-star or better I stop opening standard tokens for the day. I also allow myself to open only one heroic and one event token a day, so that tends to lead to most days having at least one heroic token or event token to open.0

No point..the game knows. I had 100+ saved (standard) and about 10-20 heroic at one point and decided when I visited my brother to have him open them...cuz I am generally really unlucky in life I general. Anything I get is from hard work, sadly, and so I had him openy 100 tokens. I got 13***...a character I already had maxed. I turned to him and said "don't worry, its not your fault. It just knows." It knows...and it knows you know...it knows you know....0

I found it odd that I didn't - but I think now I do. I have to let my kitten (who is ridiculously fond of messing with my phone's screen) open them while I laugh to myself about literal tinykitty luck.
He bought a daily deal from a tournament (I almost died when I saw what he was doing, but I couldn't get in time to stop him). Got a Human Torch. He did it again the next day - got a Falcon (and don't worry, now I don't leave my phone with the game on anywhere near him).
Later I said to myself "well, let's see how he does with standard tokens, lol". Two 4*, one 3* I already had maxed and some 2* that I wanted to respec. And a couple of 1*s, but hey, he did well enough that I wasn't mad about those0 -

Lotion and a stick work, but i prefer Vaseline and a pitchfork.0 -
previously when lightning rounds token weren't what they are now (i.e. guarantee 3* covers back then), my friend would go into the lightning round event, and roll a standard token from there, "expecting" for higher chance for 3* char. Lolololol0

Mine is opening the token in 12 midnight..it works..but there's a flaws in my ritual..it should be exactly 12 coz if it's not...sorry mr. Bagman will pop up....0

No real superstition I suppose, but I like to save up a bunch and open them in bulk. I tend to be less disappointed if I at least end up with a couple covers I can use. This strategy has begun to fade as my roster has developed.0

Sometimes i bother my cat to use its paw to open tokens. I use ipad so it is easy. (They even play sometimes games with it that are developed specially for cats. That was the main reason i got ipad instead of new laptop..crazycatlady, huh)
Last time I did it, got a blue Black Panther from standard token! Have to do that more often. More panthers, please!0 -
I have a surefire way to increase your success. This what you'll need:
1) A bowl roughly the size of a cereal bowl (It's preferable if it is made of stone or anything else resistant to fire)
2) A pinch of salt
3) A rat tail (a mouse tail will do, but reduces the strength of this recipe by half)
4) A picture of your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend
5) A piece of paper with the character you want written on it (example: Amazing Spider-Man blue)
6) A credit card (Visa, AmEx, or MasterCard)
Save all your tokens until there is a full moon. Put the piece of paper with the character you want written on it, the rat tail, and the picture of your ex into the bowl and burn them. Snort the salt into your nose before dancing naked in circles around your burning bowl, holding out your mobile device to absorb the fumes - there's an app for this, btw, which will maximize the fume absorption through your device's camera lens. (WARNING: Steam users should not attempt this unless they have a light laptop using Windows 8 and a built-in cam.)
Once the fire has burned itself out, open MPQ and cash in your tokens. By this time you should realize there is no such thing as magic, witchcraft, or voodoo and you'll feel pretty silly for standing naked next to a bowl full of ashes and have nothing to show for it except Yelena and Bagman. This is why you'll need the credit card, so you can buy the HP you need to max out Spider-Man's blue and just be done with it.0 -
My ritual is that I wait for all my PvE event rewards to come in and then open them all in. One shot. Afterward I smash my ipad into the ground and take my weekly trip to the apple store to try and get a replacement.0
