What to do with one-off 3* covers?

I place pretty high often enough to get a bunch of 3* covers. The problem is that there's no consistency. My slots are mostly full with 3* characters for which I only have 1-3 covers. 1 Ragnarok, 1 Magneto Classic, 2 Hood, 3 Doom, 2 IM40, 1 Human Torch... When I get random 3* covers, I generally keep them around in the hopes that I can get another one, a week goes around, and I end up selling them for the ISO. And then I smack myself when, a few days later, I get another one. What should I be doing? How should I be dealing with stray 3* covers? I don't really have the change to buy enough hero points to level them that way... Are there any covers I should keep a special eye out for and keep? Are there any in my roster currently I should get rid of?

    C.mags, rag, hood, and some of your 3* characters are quite good.

    My suggestion is to spend some HP to increase your roster spots.

    If not sell some of your 2* rosters to make space. Target a few 3* you want and just wait to accumulate enough covers for it. It may take a few months.

    If you post your full roster listing here, it would be easier for us to help you out. You may have some 2* or even 1* heroes that could be dumped painlessly in order to make room for some new covers.

    Pretty sure that's the full list. In the meanwhile, I've thrown away Punisher, Black Panther, Hulk, Classic Spidey... I figure I could vendor IM35 at this point; I like him for a replacement Thor when I run out of health packs, but Magneto fills the role too, I suppose. Modern Storm stays for as long as PvP events with Desert remains a thing, because it's just incredibly dumb. Modern Widow... Eh, could ditch. Thinking since the nerf, Ragnarok might be one to toss... Was holding on to Human Torch for PvE events, dunno how relevant that is at this point.

    Looks like you need to prioritize more on expanding your roster slots. Punisher, Black Panther, Hulk, Classic Spidey are too good 3* characters to just throw away. With the current number of slots you have, extra slots doesn't cost as much yet (about 200 HP or so). Try to check your Prologue missions. You might have missed out some of the nodes with HP rewards. That would be the immediate solution if you don't want to spend.

    Nope, did all those. I do have another 350 or so which I can spend, and I generally get hero points often enough from events (I play too much). But okay, more roster slots it is.

    Yeah, definitely seems roster slots are a must for you now. Keep earning HP, and don't spend them on anything else except shields (when you get a chance for a top 25 finish), just carry on expanding until you reach about 30 slots. This will give you breathing room and more versality in future tournaments. You may want to get rid of IM35, he looks rather obsolete with stronger characters around.

    Oh no! Those are all arguably better than IM40 and Ragnarok. icon_neutral.gif

    As others have said, get as many roster slots as you can as quickly you can. Only consider slowing down when you get more than 25 slots.

    Not to rub it in again, but the four you threw away were all good. Beyond those, Modern Thor, CMags, Hood, 3* Cap, Torch, and Wolverine (Patch) range from "monster" to "quite good."

    Hmm, fair enough. All right then, I know what to do once I FINALLY GET MY STUPID SAVE BACK. On the bright side, I found my old account through alliances, and I can confirm that almost everything was right, except that I have one cover less on 2* Mags and OBW than I thought I did.
