PVE : When do you clear the Required Characters Node?

Sorry for such a basic question, but I have looked and cannot find an answer. I understand that the most optimal way (for placement) to clear PVE is do 4 clears ASAP, then wait until an hour or so before end of event and clear them another 3 times.
This makes sense except I can't figure out what to do with that one node that doesn't always show up on PVE. It's the node with three required characters and just kind of sits there at the beginning of each round.
For example, in the current Venom Bomb PVE, it needs the 2*Cap, 3*Moonstone and 4*Carol. But, I can see from the leaderboard, that most people seem to hit it once and then just move on to the rest for the 4 clears. When is the best time to clear that one? Is there a consensus?
Hope this makes sense. Glad to clarify if it does not.

It depends on how long that node will last.
In Venom Bomb it is in the sub event, so you know it will go away at the end of the day. Because the timer starts after the first hit, it would technically be best to wait until you do your final grind and hit it 3 times.
I tend to hit it periodically through the day and consider what I get to be bonus points.
Alternatively, in the last event, the loaner node was in the main event, so I was able to let it fully recharge each day to get max points from it.0 -
If there is a loaner node in a sub I hit it once to open up the sub (obviously) and then I'll hit it again after doing 4 clears of the other 9 nodes. I'll let it recharge until the final clear and do it 2 more times. I'm told this isn't optimal but it's the strategy I've used when placing T10.0

Thanks for the info. Appreciated!0

Even though it's sub-optimal I tend to hit it multiple times throughout the day to get the XP in the end. Since none of the time slices work for me optimal isn't a real possiblity anyway so I'd rather work get the tiny boosts to my XP.0

Good question and good replies, thanks!0

I always clear the essential nodes first then move to the easy and hard nodes.0
