My sim nodes are getting too difficult for me. Even on first attempt, it is giving me a hard setting which I having a lot of difficulty with.

I know from Eddimeon guide that the nodes scale in difficulty according to your 'performance'. What does it include? I heard that it includes the health condition of your allies before you entered into battle, or health condition of allies after exiting battle. Which one is correct?

And if i want to lower the scaling, can i just pick a suicide squad, go into battle and retreat? Or do i need to lose the battle?

Honestly, I don't think it will help. At least in this event, community scaling seems pretty overwhelming. Personal scaling, not so much. So, unless everyone is tanking along with you...
  • I have seen my personal scaling drop but the levels on my enemy did not drop. Perhaps the scaling now uses the higher of the community/personal scaling. If you got nothing to do with your characters it never hurts to get them killed, though if you're not running Magneto or Spiderman it's unlikely your personal scaling will get out of control because the enemy will have no problem dealing enough damage to keep your personal scaling in check without those two guys.

The nodes in the Simulator do not proceed in an increasing difficulty order, and it's often a good idea to start your Simulator Basic early if the first nodes looks particularly hard, because it's only going to get harder over time due to community scaling. In this round in particular, the final node on the upper path is probably easier than most mission as it features Wolverine X Force with 2 goons. Although his level is about 10-20 higher than the rest, the fact that it's Wolverine X Force and only one villian allows you all kinds of cheap tricks with stuns, and even if you don't have any cheap trick, Wolverine X Force is one of the weakest character in the game at high level and he will even take the green from his goons to use X Force instead of the much more powerful goon attacks like Rocket/Unstable Blast.

Thanks for the replies. I have been ensuring that I don't heal too much in the games. I have also spread out my games so that the health packs are sufficient.

I have seen my pve level plateau, and no longer increasing that much.

I have to say that the sims is quite hard, with the AI wiping me out several times. Be it BP black, cmag red, psylocke black buff by falcon, and juggernaut red (damn, a 6AP ability that hurts). I have to vary my roster choices and play intelligently to get the wins.

Definitely more fun than the heroic venom event.
