Options for the four hour vs eight hour charge problem

Perhaps a way to give people an opportunity to play the matches they can’t win quickly while not causing the veteran players grief would be to set the timers for the coalition PvE events to eight hours but “refund” four hours unto someone’s next charge if they lose a match. There’s still all the incentive to win 100% and the opportunity for people who are learning to get the same number of retries.

Like the idea, but playing devil's advocate: wouldn't that basically make someone who wins 50% of the time get the same ribbons as one who wins 100%?

No. If you lose, you’ve lost those points but your next charge is four hours away. If you win and gain the points, then your next charge is eight hours away. Even if the person that lost wins their next match, they are four hours behind the first person in the next scoring opportunity.

In your example, if someone loses twice and wins twice, the person with a perfect run has won three times.

I like the idea that you don't lose charges if you lose a game, but you score x ribbons less for each loss.

Yeah, there needs to be some way to keep people from dropping on purpose because they missed an optional.
