So when Dread Wanderer dies while being utilized by Liliana, Death's Majesty, you can bring him back with his activated gem and her 2nd loyalty ability. Doing one does not cancel out the other. He is no longer in the graveyard if you do either one but both triggers can be activated, on separate turns no less.

This can lead to a crazy powerful Dread Wanderer if it's continually brought back both ways. After his first death, both triggers get activated, you now have a 8/8 Dread Wanderer. Now he dies again and you can bring both of them back with activated gems, plus her second ability, and you have a 12/12, and so on and so forth.
