Yet another roster advice thread

After stressing getting the last few covers for Daken from the prologue so I would end up with my first cover maxxed 2 *, I finally spent the iso I earned taking him to level 42, and my OBW to the 61 cap until I can get 2 more covers for her.
I now also have a cover maxxed 2* Cap and Thor is 2 covers shy, possibly 1 if I can crack the 2400 progressive in season. My question is which character should I focus on leveling next, Daken to 69, or work on Cap in Thor since both are only at level 16?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can send my way.

Do yourself a favour and don't invest in 2* Cap. He's functionally useless except against goons, and even then, just barely.
Thor/OBW/Daken are all good investments though.
I'd focus on Daken because he has the lowest level cap and is pretty darned useful. 2x40 Strike tiles for every green match? Hell yes. Combine that with Thor's Thunder Strike and you can flood the whole board with Strike tiles.0 -
If your covers on OBW are at least 5 blue I would level her first. Her healing abilities make her the best 2* cover in the game. Also with the purple you want either 3 or 5 covers there. 4 covers in purple is not a good spot to be in with her.0

Thanks, I was thinking of putting the last 2 OBW covers into her blue skill leaving her at 3/5/5 because with her black skills extra match damage I like having that at 5.0

3/5/5 OBW is extremely useful. L85 OBW is intimidating even to many 3* teams.
So, in order of priority, level the following: OBW, Thor, Daken. If you have C.Storm, she's a good option, too. Forget the rest.0 -
Maxxed 2* Thor and have OBW softcapped at 77. With Daken also maxxed, I have started working on CStorm and Ares so I have a B-team to work so I can push higher in events while my mains heal and work on getting some 3* covers so I can make some of them viable.0

I would just focus on getting Ares up: C. Storm is generally very weak without the support of MN Mags.0 -
Mags is third on the list, I figure I might have his final red by the time those two are viable.0

Maxxed OBW, leaving me with her, Daken, and Thor capped. Just wondering if it would be in my best interest to level other 2 stars while waiting for some more 3 star covers, or should I stockpile the Iso so that when I can finally break 100 with a 3 star I can do so as soon as the covers allow it?0

I'm in your position in terms of having other 2*s available. Other people have noted, and it's easy to see for yourself, that Ares can be stronger on defense than Thor since a cascade RNG burst can be scarier from him than Thor. Thor can mess up your team's health, but Ares can burst a single target down completely, which can take out a team's necessary link and make the other two sitting ducks. Getting cascaded into an Ares killing your OBW can completely neuter you if you're used to playing control and leeching your way into resources to go off with Thor, which is what I normally do. Thor personally feels better when using him yourself, though, except for moments where you need that burst yourself to prevent the AI from exploding on you if they got a long cascade the previous turn. C.Storm and MN Mags both have different feels, but I don't think it would significantly alter how you're playing as long as you have that initial trio playing nicely together. I wouldn't worry about having a B-team since that shouldn't be necessary without a complete team wipe. Injuries aren't a problem, there are several good prologue missions for quick OBW healing. Devs recently posted - though they weren't perfectly specific - that it wasn't a concern to be PVP/prologue healing in terms of messing up PVE scaling.
I think I'd sit on your ISO for now unless you start finding situations where spending ISO could get you rewards you'd otherwise be missing out on. The next wave of lightning rounds for myself will probably leave me with enough sitting to level Ares, MNMags or CStorm from naught to max, which is hard to look at sitting there, but if you streak into some great 3* covers, you'll be happy you have it prepped.0
