Should I dump XForce for Falcon?

I just got a purple falcon and I really want to put him on my team. However I have no space, so should I dump a yellow xforce wolvie for the spot? Hes just about the only guy I would consider dropping and I just used up all my HP for a spot for patch.

  • The only reason i ask is because I keep holding out hope for a xforce buff
  • no. 4* are the hardest to get in the game. dump someone else or earn/buy the HP in the next 6 days to open up another slot
  • I am at day 191 and I have never pumped any ISO into 4* Wolverine. I just sold my third or fourth spare red X-Force cover before checking the forums.

Falcon is going to be an essential character in upcoming events. Having him will let you play high-value nodes that others cannot, meaning that you will place higher and earn more covers in the future. He helps you right now. 4* Wolverine is useless to you for months.
  • There's really not much reason to hold onto Wolverine X Force except for collector value or hoping that he'll someday become viable. I think with Nick Fury coming out they probably just gave up on X Force.
  • X force is not useful, but if you're ever going to buy HP, roster space is the best reason.

This. And it makes sense. Why devote time into making a cover tons of ppl already have actually good? Business-wise...what is the benefit of a xforce buff? I am sure they saw a small exodus with the other two groups of nerfs and are trying to go about not nerfing things....similarly I don't think they want to buff things right now given the time required for thier New faster character release schedule. It's twice as fast as it was 4 months ago. And xforce isn't just a little broke.. he is "complete rework" broken. At that point, when they can push out a new 4**** EVERYONE has to buy covers for, why would they bother (besides completing a non-binding verbal notice) make xforce good.

Also, I am pretty sure they saw players like nemek and me saving iso and they started cackling. Cackling, generally speaking, is a bad sign. Ppl tend to cackle a lot behind my back. It's pretty irritating. It's all "why don't you just cackle to my FACE punk."
But nobody is ever there. Turns out, didn't know this at first, but cackling travels at a higher frequency and so the wind catches it and it travels farther. Skeletor was known to have a cackling trajectory of roughly 45 miles, for example. Lex luthor was a had a pretty decent cackle in his super friends days for a human, so its not just animated skeleton wizards that can do it (and NO, skeletor is not a necromancer. Just because he is dead doesn't mean he can raise things from the dead).
  • I would just buy another slot. Later on in the the Daily rewards they give out one of each xforce cover, so you'll have enough covers to properly level him in the future.
  • What's your full roster? Surely you must have some 1 star or 2 star drek that you can do without. There are 6-7 relatively worthless characters that you can lose.

It's MPQ Law (sort of like Murphy's Law) that as soon as you dump X-Force Wolvie, they'll buff him and you'll be kicking yourself that you sold him.
  • i would invest $20 in some HP and keep both. roster space is always a good investment. marc

A couple months ago, I dumped a single XWolv cover to make room for MN Mags and someone else (back when 4* covers still gave 25 HP).

    I've never regretted it.

If you had 3-4 covers in XWolv, I'd advise holding onto it, but for just a single XWolv cover, go right ahead and dump it. Its marginal value is just that: marginal.
  • A few months ago I dumped an xforce cover and have since greatly regretted it - haven't seen another one yet!

I am a collector, and I try not to spend money on the game, so everything I get that is rare is valuable to me even if it means it wont be valuable for a very long while - its a marathon, not a sprint, after all. Why not dump a 1* that is easy to rebuild? Why not wait the 6 days and earn enough HP to get that extra spot? Why not use HP only to buy spots until you have an extra 1 or 2, waiting for new characters to come out like the eventually will? You will never be disappointed when you already have the spot ready for that new cover-of-the-week. Plan ahead and you wont run into this issue as often. Since that fateful day I sold my only 4* cover I have ever seen, I have made sure to always stay ahead of the new cover releases with my roster spots. They come out regularly, so it is easy to predict, and the spot will never be wasted.

And if it really comes down to it, roster space is the only thing I would consider spending money on in this game.
  • Buy a slot. If it's less than 600 HP for you, than it's less than 5 dollars.

    Great points.

I strongly recommend spending HP only on roster slots until you have at least 30 slots. I only stopped feeling the roster-space pinch at around 28, and I'm not even a collector. I'm now at 34 slots, including two extra slots for upcoming characters.
