Well not sure why I should reconsider reverting. If it is like RatC it would be better and if it is what you propose as reverting it would be the same as we have now. So it wouldn't be any worse.

And I also proposed what you can do with the gap if they can't figure out how to go back to 8hr charges.

You probably don't remember pve events that lasted a week.

I do. But they didn't have multiple events running at the same time. You had the event and QB.

The complaint as I recall at that time came under the guise of "there are two coalition events overlapping!"

Not sure what we are discussing now.  I said maybe we should revert and you told me to be careful of what I ask for. I said it couldn't be any worse than what we have now and then you said that I must not remember week long events. Then I explained that I did remember but I told you the fact that when that happened we didnt have multiple events going on at the same time.  We did not have ToP or fateful showdown running at the same time. So I am not talking about complaing at the time. I am talking about when we had the week long events. So in recap, when I ask to revert away from 4hr charges, I do not think adding week long events would be a wise choice by D3.

I'm just saying there are many save points to revert to, and most of them have 4h timers with conditions that potentially lead to more grind.

I would like a revert to 4h + longer pve run because I see a lot of people in my coalition that struggle with hitting max progression. You obviously do not want that. So what do we revert to?

Why is your revert point better than mine? That's why you should be careful asking for a revert. Because you might not like the loaded save point.

Well read my 1st post and you will see the first thing I said about changing the event was to decrease progression.

I think a simpler solution would be to allow players who can't beat the boss to go back to the beginning of the node after X losses. This allows them to still get the lower points and meet progression at their own level (and this should be done for all nodes).

Also to OP, the objection to 8 hour charges isn't about coalitions requiring players to meet all nodes -- it's about having a life. This event is run over the weekend for goodness sakes. People have families who would like to see and spend time with them -- many of these people also like to clear all nodes and see how high of a score they can get. The 8 hour charges with lower progression seemed to work fine -- I don't see the issue. Or perhaps we can split and go for 6.

That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to the 4 hour recharges if they didn't run the same event every weekend for 2-3 months straight. They have a perfectly good PvP event (previously called Breaking Point and ToS) that could be alternated on weekends. This might make the PvE less arduous.

Non coalition players who try for highest personal score don't want higher scores?

The alternative week events was good. I stopped for a couple of weeks and then they were gone. Why did they take it away?

*mutters* please don't say complaints. Please don't say complaints.

this argument is dull.  And done. D3 decide the rules.  If you don't like them - leave.  There are many many players who join the game and accept it for what it is.

The 8 hour refresh is like - I don't actually like this game and I only want to play 4 games every 8 hours and get maximum return.

The 4 hour refresh is - I can't finish all the nodes but I like the game enough and I am determined enough to keep trying and one day I might get to 750 to win maximum return

i know which camp I have more respect for and will continue to support the 4 hour change

sits back and and waits for abuse

Well D3 decides the rules but I see nothing wrong in saying we don't like them, especially if we are a lot in this case.

The 8 hour refresh is - we love this game and we love to compete. To try our best with teammates. Call it social pressure if you want but if 2/3 of the team says "it's too much games, I'll only play a few ones" what's the point of playing in team ? We like events, we like exchanging ideas, aiming for best scores. But if no one is motivated by the event, the fun is gone.

And no one is motivated because 4 hours refresh is simply too much repetitive and long games in little time. Last Trial of Zeal max total was 1560 points, there were 16 refreshes. That's a total of 54 games in less than 4 days for this event only (and some games are really long, and there are other events on friday and Monday).

Again you could advise us not to play the event or simply quit the game. But we love it and we are simply voicing the fact that we would like to go back to a game that doesn't feel like work.

i respect the two camps and will continue to support the revert to 8 hours refreshes

i do love though how they made the basic booster even feel like a "decent:? reward by switching the free card to 1 at a time
