Performance issues after update

I'm running the game on a Xperia X Compact with latest Android update (7.1.1).
Before the update it could get hot and experience slowdowns when a majority of gems where getting energized/activated but got back to normal after the match ended.

But after the update to 2.2 this occurs in almost every game with just a couple supports/energized/activated gems. 

It also runs the phone hotter and the slowdowns also appear in menus after a round and the androidsystem in general gets sluggish so I have to close the app down.

It's not a top of the line phone but with 3gb RAM, Snapdragon 650 and separate graphic processor it's far from poor and I haven't noticed any slowdowns before in other apps.

I guess not much can be done but some optimization in future updates would be nice.

Interesting.. I only answer because I use the same phone :had no problems with overheating recently (it was worse two updates ago)
