Things I learned from poker that apply to MPQ

As someone who has supported his family from time playing poker,  I couldn't help but notice some similarities to MPQ:
1) Real life balance is a key to not getting burned out. 2) Don't take your in-game frustrations out on others.
3) It's okay to take a break from time to time, there will always be another event tomorrow.
4) Having more money than that next guy is a huge advantage,  but if you don't play smart it's not enough.
5) Understanding odds and how often "really unlikely" things do in fact happen will keep you sane.
6) Often the difference between winning and losing can be a series of tiny edges you give yourself that add up over time.
7) Not everyone can be the best, but everyone can find their own place.
8) Sometimes you play for a long time, years even,  and wake up one day to find you no longer love the game the way you used to,  and that's okay.
9) It's all a game of resource management.
10) Game selection (choosing your slice, clearance level, and timing of joining) is very underrated by many people.
11) Everybody has different motivations for playing,  and that's great for the player pool and game in general.
12) Focusing on one game variant (pve or pvp) or favorite team can help you excel,  but you can keep things fresh and even learn a thing or two by trying something different.

    2) Don't take your in-game frustrations out on others.
You must have learned that from the game, because you certainly wouldn't learn that here on the forums!
