Rest in peace, Morphling

A few days ago, Russell Tenney, AKA Morphling, a good friend and teammate, passed away abruptly from unknown causes.

He was only 38 years old.

You may have heard of him from Quick Battle as he was one of the regular speed demons.

That's how I met him, we were racing each other, and we rapidly became friends.

He had such an energy and passion about the game that it was hard not to.

He was always eager to help others in deckbuilding and loved discussing about the game himself.

He exemplified the best of MtGPQ: a sense of community, an healthy rivalry, fun and lightheartedness.

He was a good man, and he'll be missed deeply.

There's a gofundme page if you'd like to contribute for the funeral costs.

Rest in peace, my friend.

Morphling had been gunning for the top since the beginning. I'm grateful he achieved his goal, and am proud he was part of my coalition.

You guys must have been really close. I can't count how many "close" friends I've had in online gaming who just dropped out of contact one day, and never known what happened to them.

    My condolences.

I don't think there are many players in this game who had more drive to get to the top than morphling. I'm glad he finally achieved it.

Apart from the game, Russell was witty, funny and fascinating. I had many amusing conversations with him and always enjoyed our chats. I feel lucky to have been his friend and known that side of him.

I am fortunate to know that side of a lot of you.
