Node Crashes - How To Avoid?

Instead of submitting another ticket only to be told that the developers are already aware of the issue I'm going to the forum to hopefully get some more verbose feedback. As many of you have probably experienced while in an event of some sort the game freezes and either fails to load the battle and just has a circle of death or have gotten locked up in the middle of a cycling loop and it becomes impossible to proceed. In the most recent alliance event, ToS, I managed to get a perfect score except the two nodes that crashed. This hurt my alliance but it also cost me personal rewards which at this point 300 mana jewels is about as good as it gets. I don't expect a game to be perfectly coded (as a programmer I have more understanding than most) and I'm not even asking to be appropriately compensated (shocker, I know), but I what I would like to know is what the source of these crashes are and if there is a known way to avoid them. Finding a bug in the code can be difficult, time consuming, and frustrating, but even if there isn't a solution yet there might be ways to avoid these pitfalls right? I really don't feel the game is worth a time investment if there continues to be a competition subject to timing and scoring in which something external to the game mechanics causes me to lose. Troll decks, ridiculous cascades, and even bad draws are part of the game and while not a highlight an accepted part of playing the game are game crashes and lost nodes expected to be treated the same way by the developers?

I am using a simpel method that has reduced my ingame crashes (almost) to zero: Restart the app every 5-6 games. No matter what I play, TG, events or (before I finished it) story mode, doing this has saved me a lot of trouble. I do tend to forget to do it sometimes, and that is how I know that the problem is still around. Just this morning I had a crash in TG and hadn't restart the app since yesterday evening.

    I'm on a iPhone 5s.

The game only gets stuck when I forget and tap the screen impatiently, a habit I got from QB that I still need to shed.

This leads me to believe that there are certain windows in the game or loading screen where tapping the screen leads to an input that cannot be handled properly by the code.

My phone force closes my app every time I tab out for more than a few minutes, so it restarts all the time. I haven't found the need to restart the game every x games though, even back in the day where I would play a hundred games in a sitting.

Same for me - but sometimes the app remains active even if I leave it in the background overnight, for more than 10 hours

I find clearing from memory and restarting after each
time I check or change decks slots decreases the
chances of errors. I've been able to play all my charges
as long as I don't access the deck slot screen.

    Simple:
    - don't touch screen during AI turn (move cards in hands, speed-up cycle animations, check secondary objectives, etc)
    - don't switch between MtG:PQ and other apps
    - don't destroy servos and supports gems in the same move (I know... easy to say).

To minimalize chance to freeze during load match make sure you have a stable internet connection and don't switch between apps, the best play match from beginning till end.

This is definitely hardware related.  My old phone was a Galaxy S5.  About 25% of the time if I minimized the screen or the screen timed out the game would crash.

Since I got the Pixel XL in February I can minimize the screen, blank my screen, switch between apps, or really do whatever and it has never had a crash or restart.  A couple of times I was playing a QB or TG and just got distracted and didn't go back into the app.  I plugged it in over night and the next morning I was still in the fight and was able to finish the match.  I can also play for about 8 hours straight without having my battery die. Crazy what a different experience it is.

Highly recommend the Google phones if you are looking to upgrade.

Playing on a PC emulator (nox is my choice for now) makes crashes basically non-existent, if that is an option. Also helps in being able to record battle logs and stuff if you run across a bug in some behavior.

Do not play story mode and make cascades.
