While the bug that effected first strike was fixed for the most part the card Prickleboar is still dying when it shouldn't. 

In a TG match using Chandra1 I had Prickleboar out and had targeted it with Giant Spectacle and one of the colorless spells that permanently give a creature +2/+2. It was a a 7/6 trample berserker and when attacking a creature it would become a 9/6 first strike trample berserker. My opponent had a creature that was a 4/5 and two creatures with a toughness of 4 or less. I used Chandra's second ability killing the two smaller creatures and dropping the third to a 4/1. The old Prickleboar attacked and should of dealt 1 to their creature and 8 to them with 0 damage to itself, but what happened is the boar took 4 damage and the opponent took 8. Their was no prevent damage abilities used or in effect. I thought i may of overlooked one though so i kept playing. On my opponents turn they didnt get anything out and on my turn nothing. Again the boar attacks and it takes 4 damage and deals 0 and dies.

I think "getting attacked by a creature with berserker" is not the same as "beeing blocked" (Kari Zev can't block, but still can be attacked by berserkers), that might be the reason why the Prickleboar did not get first strike in your scenario

It did trigger the ability but the damage didn't get dealt accurately.

I have had the Prickleboar bug occur without the inclusion of Berserk or Trample.

Fighting against Avaricious Dragon (Origins Chapter 3, Part 1, Fight 12). I was using Kiora and got a lucky cascade on Turn 2 and dropped out her Ult, which at level 55 is 3 8/8 Blue Octopuses with Reach. The AI was putting out Prickleboars.

The AI did not buff the Prickleboar with any other cards and I made no changes to the 24/24 Octopus. Each turn, the Prickleboar would gain it's First Strike and +2/0 buff, then immediately die. It would deal no damage to the Octopus. It would simply die. It acts almost as if it gives the targeted defender First Strike instead.

I can confirm this as well. Prickleboar activated as stated on the card, took in this case 2 damage and dealt none in return against a creature with vigilance.
