Simple Question Re Alliances

I apologize in advance for not being able to figure this out myself. I know, I know, if only I had OBW's brains...

How does a non-commander member pay to open a spot or transfer hero points? Without, y'know, having to use outside middlemen like Paypal and the like?

  • you get promoted so you can buy the slot. if you don't want to be a commander i think you might have to leave/rejoin, but if you're paying for a slot, being a commander gives you insurance from being booted.
  • How does leaving and rejoining do anything as far as ISO or HP?

Anyway, I am a commander, but the members want to buy spots. How does this work? I make them commander, they buy a spot, then demote? Is that the only way, that just seems a tad bit rude...

Only commanders can directly buy slots. Ergo, anyone who wants to buy slots must be promoted to commander, at which point they are unkickable and have universal kick power. Any members who wish to buy slots but do not want commandership cannot directly downgrade back to "basic member," but must leave the alliance, then rejoin as a "basic."
  • Oh yikes, ok. Thanks for the info.
