Featured Characters and MMR (Particularly in Lightning Rounds)

I've mostly been noticing this in Lightning Rounds, because they cycle so fast that it was easier to pick up on the seeming pattern. It feels like I'm seeing much different Teams in the ones featuring Steve, IM40, Rags, or CMags, than I am in the other six. I have the first four I mentioned champed, and the others, I'm using the loaner. When using the loaner, it's far easier to find a team that doesn't have any 5* on it for the last match to get me to 250, and I seem to get hit a lot less. My Roster is exactly the same in both situations, but there really seems to be a difference in who I see and am seen by. Anyone else notice this?

lol of course.  MMR dictates who you can que and who can que u.

So if you run double 5* champs with max champed featured,  you will be seen and qued by a different selection of players vs. if you ran loaner plus 2 2* champs.

there are many tactics that take advantage of this fact.

I only dabble in PvP, so I didn't know that. Assumed it was like PvE Scaling, where it's based on your Roster, not who you're actually using for any given fight.

How the defensive team is set is a bit more complicated than that.  MMR in PVP means two different things.

Offensive MMR:  This is largely determined by your roster.  This determines what teams you can see and que when you hit the skip button.

Defensive MMR:  This is determined by your score and highest defensive team played.  This determines who can que you.

Both of these ratings can affect your ability to que grills/cc to differing degrees.

    That would explain it.

I really kind of miss the days when games had manuals that actually laid out all the mechanics.

This game's manual would have more pages than the Falcon 4.0 manual back in the 90s.
Scaling alone would take up about 50 pages.

Yeah, I liked when my games came with one CD (or a pile of floppies), and a manual the size of an encyclopedia. ;)

I know that not many people share that sentiment, which is why it's not done that way, but I still miss it.
