2*->3* transition + end game advice needed

I should be in line for the full 3 covers for falcon when he comes out, not that that matters too much for this though.

So, my dilemma is mainly where do I go from here? I just dumped a truckload of iso (for me 55k is a lot to save up) into Lazy Thor after grabbing the 3 latest covers, since I figured he'd be my best guy even with Lazy Cap cover maxed. Should I max Thor, then max Cap, then work on Punisher? Bring Punisher up to snuff (100+) first so I have a team of 3 3* to play with? Also I have one OBW Black cover I'm sitting on for now, not sure if I want to respec her. Is 4/5/4 a decent build until I find that 5th black? I like the big steal of 5, but 5/5/3 kind of slows my play down sometimes.

As for the "end game": Is Thor/Cap/Punisher a decent team? The Punisher/Thor green issue I've seen people discuss has me worried a little. Also there's no purple user, but that isn't the end of the world. So, who should I be targeting for my end game A-team (which I assume will have Thor but maybe not Cap eventually)? I also don't mind using OBW as my 3rd for now if you guys think Punisher isn't worth adding to the team just yet (i.e. just 3 green and having him use it over Thor's might be too much of a negative for PvP).

Oh also, I'm F2P and don't really plan on dropping money to level anyone up. Not that I begrudge anyone that option, but I rather enjoy earning (or getting lucky token pulls) the covers to build up my guys. I don't mind that it might take a while to max out BP or Hood or whoever you guys suggest will be my best option. It just would be nice to know what to shoot for.

Pretty much all the 3* characters are useful with only a couple exceptions. We've had two GSBW tourney's recently for example, both with good rewards, so even though she's on the bottom tier I know a lot of people likely wished they had her at a high level.

Thor is the obvious priority. After that, Cap is a solid choice, as is the Punisher, but I feel that a dream team around Thor is Panther/Psylocke and C.Mags. Honestly though, eventually you'll want them all.

Even the **** 3* guys with only 2 abilities (like Ragnarok and Doom) see a lot of action in my roster.

Focusing on lazpcap and thor seems good. With that team comp i would not go for punisher. Lazycap wants red and lazythor wants yellow/green. As a result, you would only be using punisher for his black, which is okay but very unexciting. I think your best team for a long time will be 3/5/5 obw/lazycap/lazythor. 3 purple lets you spam obws purple esp since she can still steal purple in that team, and all you really want is ap support for your cap/thor. So i would max out cap/thor, and ignore punisher and the other 3*s for now.

So, any thoughts on where to focus leveling next? Lately I've just been leveling featured guys some while using either pun/obw or LT/obw. I thought LT/cMags might be a fun team but am a little wary of the nerfbat. Also not sure how good patch is without mags so I stopped leveling him since his last tourney. At 11 covers are hulk or BP worth leveling? Thanks in advance for the help!

I'd say so for BP at least - you've got his nuke power so why not (ab)use it?
