4 Gamora

Hey all, I recently champed 4 Gamora and really like her, but have been finding her passive Black power, "Instant Kill," hard to pull off. Basically, at the beginning of the turn if all purple tiles have friendly special effects on them she will instantly kill who's in front of her. Sounds great, but I've only been able to pull it off through luck and her active Black power creating enough special purple tiles to pull it off. I've tried to pair her with Ant-Man, and that doesn't work because the purple tile he uses for his power doesn't count. 3 Iron Fist is helpful in giving her a lot of Black AP, but I'd like to find a 4 star combo that could help. Anyone have some ideas?
Thanks!

Ant-Man is still the best; you just have to make sure to match away the trap yourself or remove it in some other way. Star-Lord could also help in a pinch, with 5 in Purple, to cover up the last 3 basic tiles. Howard makes a bunch of friendly purple invisibility tiles, so that could be something.

If your opponent's strongest color is purple, you could use Deadpool to create a bunch of Purple CDs, or Wolverine to destroy them all (sure you'll get a few back when the board settles, but almost certainly fewer.

I have used JG gamora IM40 in previous PVE. This combination could be good combination. I remembered I fired gamora black passive power twice in one wave node.  I think JG is gamora best friend

JG purple: delete enemy special tiles, clean the board
JG green: create friendly special tile, increase purple friendly tile
JG blue: stun whole team: create 3 friendly purple tile

So once IM40 recharged complete, fire JG green and purple, then gamoral blue stuns the enemy team. If there is still some purple tile, use gamora black.  The final step is choosing the smart match( no match 4 or 5).

It is indeed much more difficult to pull off that it sounds. Your best bet is probably to stun the enemies team and make a match or use power than end your turn without board shake (Squirrel Girl or OML).

You can never count on her insta-kill working, but you can maximize the likelihood. First you have to down one of the enemies you're facing. Then you have to be mindful of a few things. Reduce the purple on the board so that Gamora's black and blue will finish covering all of the purple tiles while you stun both remaining enemies. Then you have two options: you can either make an unlikely to cascade match 3 and hope for no purple, or you can fire a power that ends your turn immediately like Squirrelgirl yellow or OML black for a guaranteed kill.

Basically, treat this ability as something to use when the opportunity presents itself, and you'll sometimes get lucky. Trying to force it as your main offensive power will usually lead to disappointment.

Insta-kill is just too powerful. And as with MK's green or DP's whales, the devs wouldn't make it easy for us to use. I haven't had G4mora fully covered yet, but I would use her more as a support character (strike tile generator/stunner).

I think both 3* and 4* versions of Gamora fail to represent the Gamora we know from the MU and MCU: the only reliable damage dealer out of the misfits that are the GotG.

It's not worth going into a match trying to instakill somebody, in my opinion. If you find yourself in a position to try it, go for it, but most of the time you're best off treating her like a 4* Psylocke: nickel-and-diming enemies to death with her special tiles.

Incidentally, she pairs incredibly well with 4* grocket. So many swords. Death by paper cuts.
