5* Planning

I have a 5/2/2 lvl 390 OML, a 4/4/5 BP, a 2/5/4 Thanos and a 2/2/4 Hawkeye. All are unlevelled but for OML. All others are 5 covers or less (including a 1/3/0 Starlord). I have used my hoard to cover Panther and now have about 50 cp.

My choices seem to be 1. Hoard until at least Doc Oc leaves tokens and pull when there are 3 good 5*s when I have 250 - 300 legendaries and then enter 5* land, 2. Pay for the final 2 Thanos covers and enter 5*  land or 3. Hoard and draw before Hawkeye leaves tokens in an effort to fully cover him and then either hoard / enter 5* land.

My thinking is 1. is best as I need a break and the PvE slog for 25 cp is getting too much lately and also if I hoard then I can enter 5* land later with a broader range of 5*s. I like the look of Hawkeye but further draws may not lead to him being fully covered, I may draw more cr***y Starlord covers and I may draw another Panther cover forcing me to champ him. Also is it stupid to buy the last two Thanos covers? He will go well with BP but I would be stuck in 5* land with a health pack eater.

Any input / wise words appreciated

As far as I understand, Thanos + BP is the preferred standard for 3* PVP battles.  BP targets a character to quickly down them, then Court Death kicks in, and when BP returns from stun, he hits again, which helps you down another character and then Court Death kicks in again, then BP again to end the match.  Add in OML and you have a killer PVE team that clears fast.  Honestly, the health pack usage is manageable, since only BP would need one.

I really like Hawkeye because of his crazy synergy with Coulson.  5* Star Lord is pretty bad, but he has 1 good trait, being a member of Gaurdians, which boosts 4*Rocket's strike tiles.  Which is another fast clearing PVE team with Thanos or Medusa.  5* Doc Ock can be useful with Carol to accelerate his team nuke.  Hawkeye & Coulson can produce tons of Blue for Doc Ock's mechanical arm attack too.  Plus, Coulson could reduce his team nuke CD tile faster and then match it at 1 with his tile swapping power.  So, there's lots of combos here.

My suggestion for you is to softcap BP to 360 or so, hoard LT and CP until BP leaves the pool (6/18), then start pulling for the next 6 weeks or so to try and cover Hawkeye, setting Thanos as your BH.  Buying a cover 720 CP seems like a big waste though.

Don't buy Thanos covers - a nerf is inevitable, who knows how they'll gut him.

Thanos/Panther is the default PVP team now because that is what hoarders ended up with - I'm pretty sure 90% of the ones running that would prefer to be able to run Bolt.

Just pull as you go along, covering 5s along the way.

    Hoarding is a never-ending cycle.
Champ Panther, run him with OML, see how you like it.

Many thanks for the advice. I would really like to cover Hawkeye but doubt I will amass the tokens needed to reliably cover him. And I am concerned about levelling Panther above OML as they have exactly the same covers and OML's sole use would be to tank, which he cannot do at a lower level. If anything I am tempted to level Thanos or Hawkeye a bit as better partners to OML and then level Panther once he has a better partner
