TotP and Color Mastery

Either it is a bug or I misunderstood something...

Now that TotP is half off I wanted to play it, and I clicked on the rewards button first. It is showing I am in the gold tier, however, my blue mastery is already at platinum level. Shouldn't my rewards for joining TotP also be platinum?

You will be in platinum tier in any event that has a blue node. Today's TotP is black, so I assume you.are still good tier in black.
