Can't join Fateful Showdown event

It just keeps coming up with the "Something went wrong..." message. I've tried joining from the Activity Hub, from the Events page and from inside the Fateful Showdown page. Retry does nothing but bring the message up again. Tried force stopping the app and restarting my phone. Running on Android.
Guessing I'm the only one huh? Still broken for me today.
