Facing opponents outside of your bracket???

(I have screenshot of what I am describing, but this is my first time posting and I can't figure out how to attach the pics)

I am currently playing NOP.  At the time this happened, the top of the leader board in my bracket had 97 points.

I go to play my next round of tickets and my level 45 Koth gets matched up against a level 60 Koth showing 100 points earned and he/ she was not the person listed at the top of my bracket leader board.

So besides the fact that the match up system is still broken (seriously... my Silver rank level 45 against a level 60 loaded up with all rares/mythics and a masterpiece?), now we have to contend with trying to fight our way up the ladder against people who are not even in the same grouping.

No wonder I have such a hard time placing in the top 50 :(

You can be matched with anyone in the silver tier. Even if they are in a different bracket. I don't think this is correct, should only compete within your bracket, but it is like this. Happened to me a few weeks ago.

Noticed that today too. A teammate faced one of my decks, but we are not in the same platinum bracket.
I was quite surprised by this, this is the first time I've seen this

Some people are sandbagging by abusing the existing flawed match rules.

Some people buy dual colour PWs & extra card packs but then never master extra cards since they know what they want from other accounts.  Some are rich.  Some are just very calculating.

The obvious metric would be to base matches around an Elo type system or a PW level * log or sqrt of cards playable on this node system.  The existing system suckers new players into trying new cards and then being matched against abusers of the system.

Such 'incompetence' may or may not be on purpose to sell you more card packs.
