You can taking this user's comment as whining brought on by inability or incompetence, as you are doing now. Or you can read things the other way around: maybe the game is incompetent at how it funnels people into good alliances that can compete viably?
Well, yes, we can. We recognize that agreeing with you on this matter is not a physical or even geopolitical impossibility. We choose to disagree with you on this matter. Did you have a point beyond saying "Well, you COULD try agreeing with me, wink-wink nudge-nudge."?

Number one method in which you improve software: user stories.
This user's story boils down to not being able to get into a good alliance that can compete viably.
So, ... how do you fix that?
Are you the user in question? If so, try harder. There are two stickied threads in the Alliances subforum made specifically for users like you.

DjangoUnbuffed literally started when four random guys said to a fifth random guy "Hey bro, you make clever name. Me like clever name. Me join clever name." We grew from there.

S.T.E.A.L.T.H was created, what, 3 days ago by a guy relatively new to the forums? And they're already in Top 100?

You want to talk about non-forumites having a hard time joining competent alliances? Focus on that. As an active forumite, complaining about the system from a personal POV just looks like whining to avoid dealing with personal incompetence/sloth.

If I complain that much and it is that unwarranted, then would you mind explaining why I have had a 50+ positive reputation built up over the last few months of active post on this forum, half of which came over the course of the last week while I was 'complaining'?
Hahaha, I have more than three times the positive rep just from doing stupid s---. Your point?

If you think your rep bolsters the credibility of your complaints, take a look at the reps of the people disagreeing with you on this thread. Take your time. I'll wait.

If anything, I see you as old fogeys with ridiculously cartoony horns for hearing aid telling us to "speak up sonny, 'cause I can't hear you", while rattling off on a lifetime of sagely advice we weren't really looking for.
As someone who clearly has a deep emotional attachment to up/downvotes, you might want to take a look at how many upvotes Polarity's Guide has. I'm gonna assume, for your sake, that you were merely using the royal "we" in a fit of spontaneous poshness.

OOOoOoOOOoO, things are working out for you so I guess everyone else who isn't as awesome as you is whining.
Weren't you the one tilting at windmills with your CMags cover-reward complaint? I mean, if you have to make s--- up to complain... well, yeah, then you're just whining. It's nice that you're now channeling memories of second-grade recess in your complaints, though. Sigh, those were the days.

How about those that don't want to be mandated to be in an alliance (or a top alliance)? Those people should stop "whining" too, huh?
"I just don't wanna join an alliance, but I declare that I simply deserve alliance rewards." Yep, that's not absurd in the slightest. All users are entitled to receiving three covers per event, which, of course, makes alliance membership mandatory. Dem be da facts, yo.

You know, here's a fun fact:

I just had a step back and had a look at the two sides battling it out in this topic.
On the one side are a diverse but small pool of people with the overarching complaint that the hamfisted way alliances were shoved into game has screwed over their rewards and progression.
And on the other side? Members of top placing alliances exlusively.

Gee, I wonder if there's some kind of correlation to be found there.[/sarcasm]

    Just wanted to share that.
Back to your regularly scheduled slugging match now...

Yes, the members of the top alliances are making it clear that your "small yet diverse" pool of people are full of tinykitty and that you need to stop trolling because at this point that's basically all your doing.
