Can someone please explain what does this mean??

How can one get full points although the event ends way before?

After the first 4 clears, the node will refresh back to full in 24 hours.  Most subs are only 24 hours, so the node won't get back to full points.  That's why you want to do your first 4 clears as soon as the sub opens to give the nodes as much time as possible to refresh to as many points as possible.  Then before the sub ends, you hit them all again to collect those points.

Some subs are 48hrs, so if you do your first 4 clears early enough, the nodes will go back to maximum points 24 hours later.

If the clock is showing something like this when you haven't done four clears, do a hard reset of the app. When you reload it'll be showing full points.

OP: Not sure if you found your answer yet, but it has to do with the mechanics of PvE...

There are typically 9 "core" nodes in every PvE that are repeatable, the way the points for these 9 work is that they give full points for 4 clears, after that 4th clear you will see a refresh timer associated with the node point value.

The refresh time is 24 hours, meaning that node will continue to slowly increase in points and would get back to full point value in 24 hours...  For a 24 hour PvE sub event you know that node will never grow to full points in time, so you can wait for it to re-grow as many points as you like and hit it again before the sub ends.

Finishing a node for the 4th time knocks it into a 24 hour cooldown period, each subsequent completion of the node decreases its points and adds 24 more hours onto the timer.  The points of a node are decreased by 1/3rd (I believe) on each hit after the first 3, and it regenerates 1/3rd of its maximum point value every 24 hours.

If there is a team up node present in the sub or the main it will immediately lose points and go into a cooldown period after the first completion....  Other story nodes can be completed only once before becoming unavailable (red check marks.)

You have answered your own question. Once you're at that stage, you will not be able to play the node for full points anymore before the event or sub event ends.
