Medusa + Carnage is ridicolous

Is anyone else going crazy over watching the animation trigger-fest that is Medusa Carnage?

I think the gameplay aspect of it is REALLY cool and well done, but seeing the animations play dozens of times in the course of one match is just plain oppressive

    I try to avoid those matches whenever possible.  Mainly because I have a very poor track record against it, but also because of your frustration with the animations.  Seems like a lot of the new characters have triggered animations that really draw out a match.  When I'm playing tired I'll close my eyes for thirty seconds to rest, and when I open them it's still the opponent's turn.

    No, because you may be a VIP but still not important enough not to have your time wasted by the same tired animations over and over again.

    If the devs want to make everyone happy, they simply need to give us the option to turn off all animations and just display the quick banner instead.

    The competitive side of this game is heavily reliant on how fast you can clear fights, whether it's getting through them to shield in PVP, or getting faster clears and a faster grind in PVE to allow more time for points to recharge.

    We will NEVER get the option to turn off animations because it would literally make the game unfair for anyone who doesn't turn them off.

    I love carnage + medusa. They are practically invincible! Add in another trouble-maker, and you've got a fantastic threesome! Once you get lots of special tiles, then it's over. But if you can stun Medusa or kill her quickly, then they will be in trouble.

    Und thus the solution is to carry on wasting >70% (and rising, considering how much more passives newer characters have) of the time we spend on a game that's already a grinder?

    I'd love it if the developers actually had to spend two weeks once or twice a year playing the game they're creating competetively in PvE and PvP. (i.e. get into the top 10%)

    Carnage / Medusa / Mister Fantastic was the ultimate Balance of Power troll team.  Crazy animations, crazy healing.  The AI 1-shot Mr F to 6000 health and 2 turns later he was back up to top.  It took took long to beat if you were doing a quick hop so I rarely got attacked while climbing.

    Can imagine if you throw starlord or Dr strange in with them a fight could take about 15 minutes

    True, I don't fear that team, but I kill their Medusa as fast as possible.  Kate Bishop can solve the problem with the enemy team constantly gaining health though.  Or just stun her with Iceman.

    A friend of mine showed me how MTG Puzzle Quest plays, and it's also an insane animation trigger-fest.  Far worse than anything we have ever seen in Marvel.  But yeah, throw in Mr Fantastic in there and I can't even begin to describe how annoying this becomes.

    It's totally possible that this is the intention of the developers, and this super slow game flow is part of the design intent.  But for those of us who have gotten used to "done and one" animations, this is just way too much.

    I'm not asking for a nerf, but we're all tired of watching this.

    Yes, practically invicible. Deadpool vs Villains, Carnage took about 12K to the face from Dr Doom and his Mechanical Friends, leaving him a bit over 3K health early on. Kept trucking through the rest of the clears without using health packs at all. Medusa's passive bandages just kept healing Carnage back up the whole time. Pairing them with 4clops has been fantastic, converting enemy tiles into blue AP, then blasting the board to get some red.

    I use 3strange for goon nodes.and C4rol for DA nodes. Doesn't get any better than that.
